Newropeans aims at empowering European citizens so that they can better control the evolution of the European Union. Newropeans develops and supports projects which serve this objective by allowing European citizens to inform themselves and express their opinions on European issues, to discuss among each other and also with people from other parts of the world about Europe’s present and future. Newropeans also wishes to enhance the visibility of all people and organisations, who engage for the EU’s democratisation.

All our projects are independent from national or European public funding to ensure political and institutional independence of our activities. We carefully select the initiatives we get engaged in and argue our position openly if we think projects are not compatible with way we understand the democratisation process of the EU, even if they are called “European citizens projects” or the like.
